When Nelson Mandela came to power of his country he said that «education is the most powerful weapon that we can use to change the world ». It is still true nowadays, worldwide, also in very near developing countries whose rurality cannot get rid of very old culture, economy and education.According to the World Bank, Morocco is the only country of Maghreb to have an increase of its illiteracy rate.
Sometimes schools of the countryside are abandoned with old walls, playgrounds covered with stone without toilets or sanitary facilities. Education is seriously affected, especially for girls at age of puberty.
Confronted with these facts and as young women ourselves we wish to support an association : AFOULKI (good and happiness in Berber language) which works for the school enrolment and the development of girls and women.
The project involves renovating schools, processing water conveyance systems, teaching French, giving school supplies in order to improve their current conditions of living. We need you to realize it ! If you wish to support us and to make these young ladies smiley ou just need to vote for our project. You will be able to follow our actions from the beginning to the realization on site !
